The Crown Princess listened as people wished her a happy birthday in the sunshine, followed by a round of cheers from the crowd, which is traditionally led by The King. The Queen, Prince Daniel and Princess Estelle also attended the celebrations at Solliden.

At 13:00, a gun salute was fired from Skeppsholmen in Stockholm.
In the evening, The King and Queen, The Crown Princess Couple, Prince Carl Philip, Princess Madeleine and Mr Christopher O'Neill were driven from Solliden Palace to the celebrations at Borgholm Sports Arena in a horse-drawn cortège.
Johan Olsson receives the Victoria ScholarshipThe Crown Princess presented this year's Victoria Scholarship to cross-country skier Johan Olsson. Johan received the scholarship in recognition of "...having entered the history books of cross-country skiing and Swedish athletics through his successes at the 2013 World Ski Championships in Val di Fiemme. Johan has shown the experts of the entire skiing world that nothing is impossible — at least as far as he is concerned. For several years, his involvement in Swedish skiing has featured sterling efforts and a great deal of loyalty, including an Olympic gold medal for the relay event in Vancouver in 2010. He has now added two silvers and a gold in Val di Fiemme in 2013 to his medal tally. Johan's 50 km race at the World Ski Championships shows what a great skier he is. His attitude, his boldness and his incredible ability to spend most of the race alone at the front, pursued by a group of some of the world's finest cross-country skiers, resulted in a triumph the like of which has rarely been seen."
