On Thursday 3 October, President Cavaco Silvas concluded his visit to Sweden.
08:05 The third day of the Presidential couple's state visit began at the official residence of Portugal's Ambassador, where a breakfast meeting was held with a focus on trade. Minister for Financial Markets Peter Norman also attended.

09:30 At the Royal Palace of Stockholm, an official departure ceremony was held at which The King and Queen said goodbye to the Presidential couple in the Hall of Mirrors.
09:45 The Crown Princess Couple and the Presidential couple left the Royal Palace of Stockholm to travel to Malmö, where the state visit concluded later in the day.
11:25 The Crown Princess Couple, the Presidential couple and Minister for Public Administration and Housing Stefan Attefall arrived at Malmö Airport, where they were welcomed by County Governor Margareta Pålsson. 11:53 The Crown Princess Couple and the Presidential couple arrived at Ideon Gateway, a 74-metre high building in north Lund at the entrance to Ideon Science Park, which was opened in January 2013. They were met by Chair of Lund Municipal Council Annika Annerby Jansson.

12:52 The Crown Princess Couple and the Presidential couple arrived at the Turning Torso in Malmö. The residential and office building was built between 2001 and 2005. At 190 metres high and with 54 storeys, the Turning Torso is the tallest residential building in Sweden and the Nordic region. The architect was Santiago Calatrava, and the shape of the building is based on the sculpture Twisting Torso, which represents a human body as it turns. 13:05 On the 53rd floor of the Turning Torso, Chairman of Malmö Municipal Executive Board Kent Andersson spoke about Malmö and the city's growth from a homogeneous industrial town to become a cosmopolitan and multicultural centre of knowledge.
13:15 Senior Advisor at Malmö Town Planning Department Göran Rosberg then spoke about the Western Harbour, which has undergone dramatic changes during the past two decades. This was once an industrial area, but is now an attractive coastal residential area with an emphasis on sustainability. 14:05 A departure ceremony was held at the County Governor's official residence in Malmö, where The Crown Princess Couple said goodbye to the Presidential couple.
