Prince Daniel attends the opening match of the UEFA Women's EURO 2013 tournament

On Wednesday 10 July, Prince Daniel attended the official opening match of the UEFA Women's EURO 2013 tournament, between Sweden and Denmark, at Gamla Ullevi in Gothenburg.
Prince Daniel is patron of the tournament and the Make A Healthy Heart Your Goal campaign, a collaboration between the Swedish Heart-Lung Foundation, the Swedish Football Association, UEFA and the World Heart Federation. In connection with this, all the event's volunteers received CPR training.
In mid-June, Prince Daniel visited the EURO 2013 volunteers' CPR training at Solna Hall and the national team's training session at Bosön on Lidingö. Find out more about the visit here.
EURO 2013The UEFA Women's EURO 2013 tournament will take place on 10-28 July, and will be played in Gothenburg, Halmstad, Växjö, Kalmar, Norrköping, Linköping and Solna. FIFA has ranked the Swedish national women's team number six, behind France and ahead of Canada. The USA is top of the list. Sweden has played in six world championships, coming second once (2003) and third twice (1991 and 2011).
