On Thursday 21 November, Prince Daniel attended the Healthcare and Academia Leadership Day at the Nobel Forum, at Karolinska Institutet in Solna.
The Prince presented the Leadership Promoter of the Year and Leader of the Future awards.

This year's Leadership Promoter of the Year award was presented to Boel Andersson Gäre, Professor at the School of Health Sciences in Jönköping and Director of Futurum. She received the award for her "unfailing and dedicated commitment to developing leadership in healthcare and giving managers tools for improvement and renewal in their everyday work, including through the initiative of creating a master's degree programme in quality improvement and leadership in health, care and nursing."

The Leader of the Future award went to Patrick Vigren, Operational Manager at the Neurological Clinic at Linköping University Hospital. The jury called him: "A leader with the ability to work with both visions and day-to-day operational problems, and who sees his role in healthcare within a broader context than the physical constraints of his own clinic. He is a worthy role model for the next generation of healthcare leaders."
