On Monday 13 January, Prince Carl Philip presented Radiosporten's Jerring Prize to golf player Henrik Stenson at the Swedish Sports Gala at the Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm.
In his speech, The Prince said "What does it take to be nominated for the Jerring Prize? Those of you who are sitting here today have shown us: dedicated training, the desire always to be better, and the belief that nothing is impossible."
About the Jerring Prize
The Jerring Prize is the only sports prize to be judged by the Swedish people, and is presented to the individual or team that has achieved the year's best performance in Swedish sport. The prize was established in 1979 by Radiosporten to commemorate the legendary radio journalist Sven Jerring, who died that year.
