On Tuesday the Prince took part in the International Union for Conservation of Nature's (IUCN) second Patrons of Nature meeting. Discussions were held at the meeting on IUCN's programme for 2013-2016, as well as patrons' commitment.

Prince Carl Philip has been one of several patrons of the organisation since 2012. Patrons of Nature play an important role in IUCN's work and help raise the profile of the organisation and facilitate contact with decision-makers.
