On Tuesday 14 February, The King and Queen and The Prince Couple met experts from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs to find out more about Canada in preparation for the forthcoming state visit.
Canada's Governor General and his wife Mrs Sharon Johnston will be paying a state visit to Sweden on 20-23 February at the invitation of The King. Ahead of the state visit, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs provided The King and Queen and The Prince Couple with information about topical issues in Canada.
There will be a focus on global issues, migration, innovation, sustainability and commerce, as well as promoting potential business opportunities in both directions.
The four-day visit will take in the cities of Stockholm, Malmö, Lund and Gothenburg.
Information meetings with the Ministry for Foreign Affairs are always held ahead of state visits.
