A day at the Royal Palace of Stockholm

On Wednesday 4 December, the following meetings and medal presentations took place at the Royal Palace of Stockholm.
The Queen during the board meeting with Mentor. Next to The Queen sits Jan Carlzon, who is a member of Mentor's board. The King awards the Prince Eugen Medal in recognition of outstanding artistic achievements. This year, the medal was awarded to textile artist Annika Ekdahl, painter Elisabet Oscarsson, painter Bo Swenson, sculptor Martti Aiha and architect Kjetil Trædal Thorsen. The Prince Eugen medal was instituted in 1945 by King Gustaf V to mark Prince Eugen's 80th birthday.

The King and Queen at the diplomatic reception in Princess Sibylla's Apartments. The reception was attended by ambassadors and their spouses from Latvia, Austria, Hungary, Turkey, Belgium, Azerbaijan and Vietnam.
The King and Queen and The Crown Princess Couple at the Nobel Foundation's presentation of the 2013 Nobel Laureates, which was led by the Permanent Secretary of the Swedish Academy, Peter Englund.
