On Thursday 5 September, The King held an audience with the President of the USA Barack Obama at the Royal Palace of Stockholm.
President Barack Obama visited Sweden on 4-5 September at the invitation of Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt. On Wednesday 4 September, the Prime Minister received President Obama at Rosenbad for bilateral discussions, followed by a joint press conference. The Prime Minister and the President then visited Stockholm Synagogue to commemorate the efforts of Raoul Wallenberg. This was followed by a visit to the Royal Institute of Technology, focusing on Swedish innovations within renewable energy and the environment.
