On Monday 15 July, The King and Queen attended the Öland Inhabitant of the Year award presentation at Solliden Palace on Öland.
The King presented the Solliden Award to the 2013 Öland Inhabitant of the Year, sound editor Per Hallberg. The jury's reasons for awarding the prize were as follows: "Per Hallberg is a true Ölander who has managed to win three Oscars for his work as a sound editor within the world of film. He never misses an opportunity to promote Öland and its qualities in public contexts. His international success has made him a role model, both in Hollywood and on Öland."
