The Crown Princess attends Innovation and Infrastructure seminar

On Monday 10 June, The Crown Princess attended Innovation and Infrastructure, a seminar held at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences (IVA) in Stockholm.
The Crown Princess was welcomed by Chairman of IVA Professor Björn O. Nilsson and Czech Minister of Foreign Affairs Karel Schwarzenberg. Professor Nilsson and Minister Schwarzenberg opened the afternoon's seminar. Professor Nilsson then presented IVA and gave a speech entitled "IVA's Royal Technology Mission (RTM) to the Czech Republic — one year later". Professor Per Eriksson, Vice-Chancellor of Lund University, Ulf Moberg, Technical Director at Svenska Kraftnät, Dr Charlotte Brogren, Director-General of VINNOVA, and Professor Jan Andersson, Director of Research at Stockholm County Council, all spoke on the subject of innovation and infrastructure. The seminar concluded with a panel debate. Minister Schwarzenberg's programme in Sweden also included bilateral discussions and lunch with Minister for Foreign Affairs Carl Bildt and meetings with Minister for EU Affairs Birgitta Ohlsson and the Speaker of the Riksdag. On Tuesday 11 June, Minister Schwarzenberg was received by Finance Commissioner Sten Nordin at Stockholm City Hall and by Peter Egardt, County Governor of Uppsala County.
