Prince Daniel visits EU institutions in Brussels

On Tuesday 9 April, Prince Daniel visited a number of EU institutions in Brussels.
The visit began at the Permanent Representation of Sweden to the European Unionexternal link, opens in new window, where Ambassador and Head of the Permanent Representation Dag Hartelius explained about the body and its work. This included a particular focus on issues relating to international commerce, finance and entrepreneurship.
 
The Prince then visited Commissioner Cecilia Malmström, who spoke about current issues and her role.

During the afternoon, The Prince met Uwe Corsepius, Secretary-General of the Council of the European Unionexternal link, opens in new window.

He then visited the European Parliamentexternal link, opens in new window, where he met Swedish European parliamentarians who explained about their work.

The day concluded with a meeting at the Confederation of Swedish Enterpriseexternal link, opens in new window's Brussels office, which was also attended by a representative from BUSINESSEUROPEexternal link, opens in new window.
