On Friday 13 December, Prince Carl Philip took part in a medal ceremony for the Swedish Afghanistan Force (FS 25). The ceremony took place at the Royal Tennis Hall in Stockholm.
The ceremony recognised personnel who had served in Afghanistan for seven months. Head of the Swedish Army Tactical Command General Anders Brännström and Minister for Defence Karin Enström were among those who spoke at the ceremony. During the medal ceremony, The Prince personally thanked the troops for their efforts. The ceremony concluded with a speech from Head of the Swedish Afghanistan Force FS 25, Colonel Peder Ohlsson, after which the Life Guards' Dragoon Music Corps played.
