On Friday 12 April, Prince Carl Philip opened the Neonatal Couplet Care Unit together with the Lilla Barnets Fond children's fund at Skåne University Hospital in Lund.
During his visit, The Prince learnt about the unit's work from members of staff including Clinical Manager Elisabeth Olhager, psychologist Anette Carnemalm, Unit Manager Nurse Lotta Erngren and consultant and Medical Manager Eva Morsing. Hospital Manager Jan Eriksson and Regional Adviser Carl-Johan Sonesson also took part in the visit. The Prince then opened the unit, saying: "I am delighted to declare the Neonatal Couplet Care Unit open." The visit concluded with The Prince being given a tour of the Neonatal Couplet Care Unit and meeting a family whose child had previously been cared for at the unit. The Prince visited the hospital in his capacity as patron of the Lilla Barnets Fond children's fund.
