The Queen meets politicians from Egypt, Libya and Tunisia

On Wednesday 14 November, The Queen received politicians from Egypt, Libya and Tunisia.
During the week, the Kvinna till Kvinna Foundationexternal link, opens in new window hosted a delegation of twelve politicians from Egypt, Libya and Tunisia.
 
The politicians visited Sweden to share their experiences and to discuss the obstacles encountered by female politicians in the individual countries. The overall aim was to support women in their political work, and to increase female representation in decision-making bodies. An additional aim was to network and to share experiences with Swedish politicians.
 
They also met Swedish members of parliament for a round-table discussion, Sweden's ambassador to Libya and Tunisia, and other representatives at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency. The delegation concluded the week by visiting Minister for International Development Cooperation Gunilla Carlsson.
