The Queen meets cycling expedition participants

On Wednesday 25 July, The Queen met the women who took part in the Juliaresan expedition at Solliden Palace on the island of Öland.
Friends Beatrice Björch, Stina Lif, Adéle Rundgren and Amanda Löfgren have cycled from Östersund to Böda on Öland in memory of their friend Julia, who died of a bone tumour in February this year.
 
During their expedition, they have raised money for the Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundationexternal link, opens in new window. Individuals and businesses have made donations along the route, and so far they have raised around SEK 300,000.
