On Wednesday 13 June, The King reopened Dannemora Iron Ore Mine.
The King was welcomed by CEO Staffan Bennerdt, and then signed the guestbook dating back to 1794, which both King Gustav IV Adolf and King Karl XIV Johan have signed. The opening ceremony then took place, during which The King gave a speech in which he spoke about the history of mining in Dannemora. The King visited the mine to see the working level in the Botenhäll ore body, 145 metres below ground. The King then had the opportunity to see older mining operations 350 metres below ground.
