On Wednesday 10 October, The King inspected the Life Battalion in the Inner Courtyard of the Royal Palace of Stockholm.
The Royal Life Guards' Life Battalion paraded from Kungsträdgården to the Inner Courtyard of the Royal Palace of Stockholm. The procession was led by the Armed Forces Music Corps, followed by the colour guard bearing the Swedish ensign, the Staff of the Life Battalion, the Grenadier Company bearing the Life Guards' ensign, the Main Guard (infantry) bearing the Life Company's ensign, the Main Guard (cavalry), standard bearers bearing the Life Guards' standard, and two escort troops. The infantry units of the Life Battalion wore the 1886 parade uniform, and the cavalry units wore the 1895 parade uniform. The King concluded the inspection with a speech to the Life Battalion.
