On Wednesday 10 October, The King and Queen held an audience at the Royal Palace of Stockholm for Swedish honorary consuls working in France and Monaco.
Sweden's Ambassador to France, Gunnar Lund, presented the honorary consuls and the delegates from the embassy and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs to The King and Queen.

Philippe Huyghues-Despointes, honorary consul in Fort-de-France on Martinique, was then conferred with the rank Commander of the Royal Order of the Polar Star.

Xavier Lassalle, who is posted in Marseilles, was also conferred with the same rank, but this will be presented at a later date by Ambassador Gunnar Lund since he was unable to attend.
