The King and Queen celebrate Queen Margrethe's jubilee

On Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 January, The King and Queen attended Queen Margrethe II of Denmark's 40th jubilee celebrations.
Saturday began for The King and Queen with a reception at Copenhagen City Hall, and concluded with a gala performance at DR Concert Hall. Ditte Hansen and Nikolaj Koppel hosted the gala performance, which was based on the 40 years of Queen Margrethe's reign.
 
Sunday's programme began with a lunch at the residence of the Danish Crown Princess Couple in Frederick VIII's Palace, followed by a jubilee service at Christiansborg Palace Chapel. A gala dinner was held at Christiansborg Palace in the evening.
