On Wednesday 3 October, The King and Queen and Princess Madeleine attended the New York Green Summit, "From Farm to Fork".
The New York Green Summit is arranged by the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce (SACC) in New York. The day began with Frederick Johansson, Chairman of the Board of SACC, welcoming all those present. The King gave the opening speech, mentioning how Sweden has taken a leading role in environmental work over the years. A number of panel sessions were then held, at which speakers including Michael Treschow and Marcus Samuelsson discussed the issues of food, cities and the environment from various perspectives. A banquet was held in the evening, at which The King presented the SACC New York-Deloitte Green Award. Find out more about "From Farm to Fork" here.
