On Thursday 23 August, The Crown Princess Couple opened Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel's Lovers' Path on Royal Djurgården in Stockholm.
The path was a gift in connection with The Crown Princess Couple's wedding in 2010 from the World Wide Fund for Nature. The path runs around Lake Isbladskärret on Southern Djurgården, and reflects the wealth of nature and wildlife on Djurgården. Lake Isbladskärret is home to many different species of birds, including a large colony of herons. Information signs have now been set up around the path, detailing the various plants and species of wildlife found here. Royal Djurgården, Haga and Ulriksdal make up the world's first National City Park. Find out more about Royal Djurgården here. Find out more about WWF here.
