On Friday 27 January, The Crown Princess Couple took part in the official Holocaust Memorial Day ceremony.
The ceremony was arranged by the Living History Forum, and was held at Raoul Wallenbergs Torg in Stockholm. Eskil Falck, Director-General of the Living History Forum, gave an introductory speech, which was followed by a speech from Speaker Per Westerberg. Before the candle lighting ceremony, Kofi Annan (UN Secretary General 1997-2006) also gave a speech. The ceremony concluded by placing lanterns next to the Raoul Wallenberg Memorial.
