On Sunday 3 June, The Crown Princess attended an environmental meeting between Minister for the Environment Lena Ek and US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.
The meeting addressed the subject of how industry and the public can influence the way in which short-lived climate pollutants can be reduced. Various representatives, environmental researchers and specially invited young people also attended the meeting. The Climate and Clean Air Coalition to Reduce Short-Lived Climate Pollutants initiative was launched in February by the USA and Sweden, together with Bangladesh, Canada, Ghana and Mexico, in association with the UN's environmental programme.
