State visit to South Korea: Day 4

On Friday 1 June, The King and Queen concluded their state visit to South Korea.
The day began with a visit, together with the Swedish delegationexternal link, opens in new window from the Neutral Nations Supervisory Commisionexternal link, opens in new window, to the demilitarised zone between South Korea and North Korea in Panmunjom. Sweden has been involved in monitoring the ceasefire between North Korea and South Korea since 1953. The King and Queen then travelled to Yeosu in southern South Korea, where Expo 2012 Yeosu Koreaexternal link, opens in new window is being held. The King and Queen visited the UN pavilion and the Swedish pavilion, for which the theme is "Open Sweden". The state visit was then concluded.
