On Tuesday 19 June, Prince Daniel presented the Swedish Heart-Lung Foundation's major research grant at the Royal Palace of Stockholm.
Each year, the Swedish Heart-Lung Foundation awards a large research grant of SEK 15 million, which is allocated over three years. The grant is awarded for pioneering Swedish cardiopulmonary research which is deemed to be of great significance to patients. Prince Daniel presented this year's grant to Ulf Eriksson, Professor of Vascular Biochemistry at Karolinska Institutet, at a ceremony held in the Bernadotte Library at the Royal Palace of Stockholm. The aim of the grant is to create the right conditions for achieving a pivotal breakthrough within an important field of research.
