On Saturday 1 September, Prince Daniel took the first shot at the centenary celebrations for Råsunda Golf Course at Golfängarna in Sundbyberg.
The Prince, who is an honorary member of Stockholm Golf Club, took the "centenary shot" at the first hole, on the golf course that had been opened 100 years ago and recreated for the day. The Prince used clubs that Crown Princess Margareta had used in the Swedish Championships in 1914. Stockholm Golf Club is now located at Kevinge in Danderyd, but between 1912 and 1926 the club had a nine-hole course at Golfängarna next to Lake Råstasjön in Sundbyberg. Six of the holes from the original course were recreated for the centenary celebrations.
