Prince Carl Philip visits Brussels

On Monday 29 October, Prince Carl Philip visited the Federation of Swedish Farmers' offices in Brussels and the EU.
During his visit to the Federation of Swedish Farmersexternal link, opens in new window, The Prince learnt about the Federation's work in Brussels, as well as its role and aims in relation to the Federation in Sweden. The Federation works in Brussels in the interests of Swedish farmers and the challenges faced by Swedish agriculture.
 
After visiting the Federation of Swedish Farmers, The Prince met former Supreme Commander Håkan Syrén, who is now Chairman of the European Union Military Committeeexternal link, opens in new window (CEUMC).
 
During the afternoon, The Prince met the Director for Sustainable Resources Management, Industry & Air, Soledad Blanco, and the Director for Water, Marine Environment & Chemicals, Gustaaf Borchardt, from the European Commission's Environment Directorate-General.
 
The day concluded with The Prince meeting Embassy Counsellor Gustaf Lindgren and Environmental Counsellor Annika Nilsson, who explained about the role and functions of Sweden's Permanent Representation to the European Unionexternal link, opens in new window and the EU's environmental agenda.
