On Wednesday 7 November, Prince Carl Philip attended the Anders Wall lecture on entrepreneurship, which took place at Uppsala University.
The lecture was given for the ninth year running, and this year's opening speech was delivered by Professor Hans Rosling. Monica Lindstedt, founder of the home-help service company Hemfrid and co-founder of the newspaper Metro, then gave a speech. Prince Carl Philip presented the Anders Wall Scholarship to this year's Uppsala Student of the Year, history student Johan Gärdebo. The main speaker was Bjørn Kjos, CEO of the airline Norwegian, and a panel debate was then held with Ayesha Quraishi, Hoa Ly, Anna Oscarsson and Linnea Söderström. The concluding speech was given by Jacob de Geer, founder of iZettle. Musical entertainment was provided by the scholarship recipients clarinettist Emil Jonason and singer Richard Laby. The moderator was Fredrik Lindström.
About the Anders Wall lectures
The Anders Wall lectures are arranged by Uppsala University, the Anders Wall Professor of Entrepreneurship Foundation and the student organisation Entrepreneurs Academy. The Anders Wall lecture has become Sweden's most significant forum for students and industry. The aim is to encourage an entrepreneurial spirit among students, researchers and teaching staff at Uppsala University's various faculties.
