On Friday 14 December, Prince Carl Philip accepted Christmas trees from students from the Royal College of Forestry's Master of Forestry course.
The Royal College of Forestry's Jonas Eriksson, Adam Klingberg, Hampus Plantman, Magnus Järlesäter and Tor Nylinder spoke about the trees they presented. The Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences has presented Christmas trees to the Royal Palace of Stockholm since the late 1960s. This year, four Nordmann firs were presented. Tor Nylinder explained that the Nordmann fir is commonly known as "the King's fir" in Sweden as a result of this tradition.
