The Crown Princess listened in the sunshine as the crowd sang "Happy Birthday" and gave four cheers, which were led by The King according to tradition. The celebrations at Solliden were attended by The Queen and Prince Daniel, as well as Princess Estelle.
Many more well-wishers than usual came to congratulate The Crown Princess at Solliden, and she was presented with several bouquets and gifts.
A gun salute was fired from Skeppsholmen in Stockholm at 1.00 p.m.
In the evening, The King and Queen, The Crown Princess Couple, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Madeleine were driven in a horse-drawn cortège from Solliden Palace to the festival at Borgholm's sports arena.
The Crown Princess presented this year's Victoria Scholarship to curling player Anette Norberg. Anette Norberg was awarded the scholarship because "in 2011 she crowned an outstanding sporting career by becoming world champion once again as team captain of a completely new curling team. Her list of achievements includes two Olympic golds, three World Championship golds and seven European Championship golds. Anette Norberg stands out as the uncrowned queen of the world of curling, and her ability to build and develop team cooperation carries a unique and successful Swedish stamp".
Musical entertainment was provided by After Shave, Loreen, Ulrik Munther, Rigmor Gustafsson, Agnes and Danny Saucedo.
A collection was made via Radiohjälpen for Crown Princess Victoria's Fund for people with disabilities or chronic illnesses, to mark the birthday celebrations.
