On Tuesday 18 October, The Queen attended An Evening for Mentors at the Eric Ericson International Choral Centre.
The programme for the evening included seminars and talks, and concluded with dinner.

Mentor is based on the idea that young people need adult role models. Plenty of healthy adult relationships can often be the main preventive factor against drugs and violence. Mentor therefore works both with mentors — whereby a young person and an adult meet up with each other over the course of a year — and by actively supporting parents. Mentor also works with schools throughout Sweden.

Mentor Sweden works in partnership with the Mentor Foundation, an international umbrella organisation. Mentor currently runs projects in 70 different countries, and has reached out to more than 2.5 million children and young people since it was launched.

Mentor was founded by The Queen in 1994.
