On Monday 17 October, The King presented the New Entrepreneur of the Year awards.
The awards are presented in the Start-Up and Pioneer categories, to two people from foreign backgrounds who have chosen to set up their own company. The winners should have achieved success with their companies with limited resources, through hard and determined work. The New Entrepreneur of the Year awards were instituted in 1999, and are presented by The King. They are awarded each year, and represent a way of providing role models and highlighting good examples among people from foreign backgrounds. The awards should be a source of inspiration, showing that entrepreneurs from foreign backgrounds can achieve success in Sweden.
