On Monday 20 June, The King held an audience with Chairman of the Swedish Olympic Committee Stefan Lindeberg and Secretary General Gunilla Lindberg.
During the audience, they spoke about the London 2012 Summer Olympics and the plans to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the 1912 Stockholm Olympics.
The plans include a gala banquet at Stockholm City Hall. Games will also be held at Stockholm Olympic Stadium, featuring the same events as one hundred years previously, as well as a marathon following the 1912 route.
