The Crown Princess visits the United Arab Emirates

On Monday 17 January, The Crown Princess began her visit to the United Arab Emirates by attending the World Future Energy Summitexternal link, opens in new window in Abu Dhabi.
The Crown Princess started the day by speaking at the opening ceremony. She then visited the exhibition area and declared the Swedish Pavilion open.
 
In her speech at the World Future Energy Summit opening ceremony, The Crown Princess said: "The Earth's resources are not inexhaustible. Changes in nature are taking place around us. It is important to have the will and the knowledge to acknowledge these big problems. Reality is catching up with us, and it is our mutual responsibility to not ignore but instead take concrete action to meet the challenges that climate change poses."
 
In the afternoon, The Crown Princess attended a panel discussion with Young Future Energy Leaders.
