The Crown Princess Couple visit Turku — day 2
On Tuesday 20 September, The Crown Princess Couple's second day in Turku began with a visit to Logomo
, the main arena for the Capital of Culture events.

At Logomo, The Crown Princess Couple were given a presentation of Turku, European Capital of Culture 2011, by Cay Sevón from the Turku 2011 Foundation.
The programme for the day was then as follows:

Tour of exhibitions
The tour began with three Japanese youth choirs and school pupils from Turku singing for the guests.
The Crown Princess Couple then had the opportunity to see the following exhibitions:
"Only a Game?", produced by UEFA in association with the Turku 2011 Foundation.
"Fire!", produced by Turku Cultural Centre/the Museum Centre of Turku in association with the Heureka Science Centre.
"Alice in Wonderland", produced by the State Museum of Photographic Art in association with the Turku 2011 Foundation.

Arrive at Turku City Library
The Crown Princess Couple were welcomed by Chairman of the Culture Board Elina Rantanen and Library Director Inkeri Näätsaari, and were given a tour of the library.
The Crown Princess Couple visited the children's and young people's sections, and met children and young people from various schools in Turku and their teachers.

Walk along the riverbank
The Crown Princess Couple and the rest of the party walked via the library's courtyard and the riverbank to Vähätori, and greeted the members of the public who had gathered there.
In the library's courtyard is the County Governor's Residence, where The Crown Princess Couple were told about the plaque to commemorate the meeting between Crown Prince Karl Johan and Tsar Alexander on 1 August 1812.

The Crown Princess Couple arrived at Hus Lindman, where the City of Turku and the Turku 2011 Foundation hosted lunch.

Discussion with young influencers
The Crown Princess Couple took part in an informal discussion at Arken with young influencers in Turku.
The theme of the discussion was "Turku through different eyes: the creative generation and the social creation of a city".
The moderator for the discussion was Åbo Akademi University's Professor Alf Rehn.

The Crown Princess Couple arrived at the airfield, where an official departure ceremony was held.
