On Friday 27 May, The Crown Princess Couple concluded their visit to Germany in Berlin.
The day began with a visit to Mayor Klaus Wowereit at Berlin City Hall. The Crown Princess Couple and Mayor Wowereit then visited the Brandenburg Gate, where hundreds of people had gathered to greet The Crown Princess Couple. After a joint walk through the Brandenburg Gate, The Crown Princess Couple visited the Berlin Wall Memorial. During the walk from the viewing platform to the memorial, a choir from Sweden sang. At the memorial, The Crown Princess Couple paid tribute to the victims of the wall in the traditional way, with flowers. The Crown Princess Couple also watched short film clips at the memorial centre.

The day concluded with a visit to the Swedish Victoria Congregation and the Swedish School. The Crown Princess Couple met some of the pupils, pupils sang in the school yard, and the ambassador gave a speech. The Crown Princess then gave a short speech in which she expressed her thanks for her visit to Germany, emphasising the importance of good German-Swedish relations and the close bond between the two countries.
