On Monday 12 September, The Crown Princess took part in the "Sustainable Seas" seminar. The seminar was arranged by the Brig Tre Kronor at the Kolskjulet conference centre on Kastellholmen in Stockholm.
The aim of this inaugural seminar was to get an up-to-date overview of current knowledge, and some of Stockholm University's leading researchers reported on what is currently known about the Baltic Sea and where more knowledge is needed.

The seminar concluded with The Crown Princess casting the brig off from its moorings. The brig then set sail for Mariehamn.

In association with the WWF, Baltic Sea 2020, the Baltic Sea Action Group, Stockholm University, Wärtsilä and Cargotec, and in the presence of The Crown Princess, the Brig Tre Kronor initiates cooperation between industry, researchers and organisations in order to work together to find sustainable solutions for the Baltic Sea. The seminar at Kastellholmen marked the launch of the project, and the Brig Tre Kronor then set sail for Mariehamn and Turku.
