For the President, the second day of the State Visit began with a breakfast at the Swedish Trade Council. After breakfast, the President gave the opening speech at a seminar, which was also attended by The King and Minister for Trade Ewa Björling.
The King and the President then visited Svenska Kraftnät, which is responsible for the Swedish side of the NordBalt project. The project will link the three Baltic States' electricity grids with those in the Nordic region. There then followed a visit to Multrågatan 72 in Vällingby, where President Ilves was born. At the same time, The Queen and First Lady Evelin Ilves visited Saltå Kvarn, a food producer in Järna. The First Lady is very committed to public health issues. The King and Queen and the Presidential couple then met at Stockholm City Hall, where lunch was served. In the afternoon, President Ilves and Minister for Foreign Affairs Carl Bildt participated in a seminar entitled "International Cyber Security — How Could Estonia and Sweden Contribute?" at the Swedish National Defence College. The Queen and the First Lady visited Karolinska University Hospital, Huddinge and the National Childhood Obesity Centre. In the evening, the Presidential couple hosted a reciprocal dinner and a concert for The King and Queen.
