On Tuesday 25 October, Prince Daniel continued his visit to the USA.
The day began with a seminar on the theme "Providers Partnering with Patients" at the House of Sweden, together with Minister for Health and Social Affairs Göran Hägglund. The aim of the seminar was to illustrate how carers and patients can work together to prevent diseases and improve health. Researchers, politicians and doctors took part in the seminar, together with representatives from professional associations. The first part dealt with the difference between the Swedish and American care systems, while the second part dealt with preventive healthcare. The seminar concluded with lunch. The afternoon began with a talk and seminar on lobbyism, hosted by the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce (SAAC). Prince Daniel also learnt about SAAC's work in the USA, in both Washington DC and the rest of the country. In the evening, a dinner was held at the ambassador's official residence, with representatives from think tanks and academics. The theme for the evening was social media.
