On Friday 25 March, The Crown Princess Couple began the second day of their trip to Dalarna by visiting Lindvallen in Malung-Sälen municipality.
In Lindvallen, The Crown Princess Couple were informed about Malung-Sälen municipality, Skistar's activities and Sälen-Trysil airport. The Crown Princess Couple paid a visit to Experium - an experience centre featuring everything from a pool with waterslides, bowling, spa, play centre and cinema, to restaurants and a gym. Over lunch, Erik and Mats Paulsson explained the story behind their purchase and establishment of Sälen ski resort. They spoke of how they travelled to the US and were inspired by the vast ski resorts there, and how they built the first snow cannons in Sweden according to the American model.
In the afternoon, Prince Daniel opened Stefans stuga in Lindvallen. The Prince opened the building by putting the key in the lock. Stefans stuga is specially designed accommodation close to the lifts, which aims to function as a place where families who have been affected by cancer can relax and spend time with friends.
