On Monday 12 December, The King and Queen and Crown Princess gave an audience at the Royal Palace of Stockholm for the recipients of the Nobel Peace Prize — Tawakkol Karman from Yemen, Leymah Gbowee and Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf from Liberia.
Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Leymah Gbowee and Tawakkol Karman received the Nobel Peace Prize for "their non-violent struggle for the safety of women and for women's rights to full participation in peace-building work".
