The King attends World Scout Foundation meeting in Canada

From Wednesday 14 October until Sunday 17 October, The King attended the board meeting of the World Scout Foundation and the BP Fellows Event in Ottawa, Canada.
During his visit to Canada, The King and H.H. Prince Faisal bin Abdullah, Education Minister of Saudi Arabia, attended the Scouts Canada Award Ceremony, at which young heroes within the Canadian Scouting movement were recognised.

The King also visited a Scout camp near Ottawa with 200 participants and attended the board meetings.

The King and H.H. Prince Faisal bin Abdullah also spoke about the Gifts for Peace campaign, which aims to inspire millions of young Scouts around the world to work for peace and understanding within their own communities. The campaign was launched in 2001, and 10 million young people in 110 different countries have been involved to date.
