On Monday 11 October, The Crown Princess Couple began their official visit to China. They are visiting China in connection with the beginning of the concluding period of EXPO 2010 in Shanghai, where they will arrive on Wednesday.
The Crown Princess Couple spent Monday in Beijing, where The Crown Princess opened the Swedish Institute's fashion exhibition "Swedish Fashion — Exploring a New Identity".

The exhibition displays the work of thirteen young fashion designers who have helped redefine the Swedish fashion scene with their strong sense of individual style. The exhibition first opened in Moscow in October 2008, and has since come to London, Tokyo and Shanghai.

Dance performance 


The Crown Princess Couple then attended a dance performance at the Yan Club Arts Center in Beijing.

The performance was created by Chinese choreographer Jin Xing with the aim of highlighting the innovation of the Swedish clothing design showcased at the Swedish Institute's fashion exhibition.

Swedish Chamber of Commerce seminar


The Crown Princess Couple then attended a Swedish Chamber of Commerce seminar with representatives from Swedish companies working in China, which was held at The Opposite House in Beijing.
