The Royal Palace Music Festival

The Royal Palace Music Festival dates back to 1970. King Gustav VI Adolf was commissioned with making the Royal Palace of Stockholm more accessible to the general public. Mats Liljefors took on the task of bridging the gap between physical and intangible cultural heritage with music at the Palace. King Carl XVI Gustaf is the highest patron of the Royal Palace Music Festival.
