Every year the fund awards grant, in particular to students enrolled on postgraduate courses at universities and colleges around the country. A special area of research is prioritised each year, which is announced in connection with the invitation to apply for a grant.

The theme for this year was: "Early risk factors for chronic illnesses and disabilities in children".
