The King attended the opening of the Baltic Sea Summit in Helsinki on Wednesday 10 February.
The Baltic Sea Summit started in 2007 as a collaboration between all the countries bordering on the Baltic Sea. The purpose of the group is to save the Baltic Sea, which has been severely affected by pollution.

In his speech The King highlighted the value in the fact that not only government leaders and heads of state had gathered for the meeting, but also companies and individuals, and that this reflected the concern that people in the region feel for our shared sea.
