Crown Princess Couple open healthcare forum at Sweden EXPO in Shanghai

On Wednesday 13 October, The Crown Princess Couple began their trip to Shanghai by visiting Sweden EXPO 2010, where the Crown Princess opened the forum on health and healthcare issues - "Health and Care of Tomorrow".
The Crown Princess Couple were given a tour of the Swedish pavilion and attended the opening of the exhibition of the Interactive Institute's "Virtual Autopsy Tableexternal link, opens in new window". The Virtual Autopsy Table makes it possible to explore the inside of the body using a simple gesture-based user interface. 

The Crown Princess Couple later opened a forum on health and healthcare issues - "Health and Care of Tomorrow". The forum is linked to The Crown Princess Couple's commitment to health issues, which is reflected in the purpose of The Crown Princess Couple's Wedding Foundationexternal link: tackling exclusion and promoting good health among children and young people in Sweden.

Other speakers included Annika Rembe, Director General of the Swedish Institute, Sweden's Minister for Elderly Care and Public Health Maria Larsson, China's Health Minister Dr Chen Zhu and David Lega. 

The Crown Princess attended the Forum's seminar, entitled "Antibiotic Resistance, an Emerging Threat to Global Public Health", and Prince Daniel attended "International Research Collaboration Strengthens Health and Welfare".

The Crown Princess Couple also visited the pavilions of other countries during the day, including those of the UK, Iceland and China.

In the evening, The Crown Princess Couple attended an official dinner in the Swedish pavilion, organised in connection with the forum on health and healthcare issues - "Health and Care of Tomorrow".
