Crown Princess Victoria's birthday was celebrated on Öland on Wednesday 14 July with the customary performance at Borgholm's sports arena. At midday, a gun salute was fired from Skeppsholmen in Stockholm.
The King and Queen, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Madeleine were driven from Solliden Palace to the festival at Borgholm's sports arena in a horse-drawn cortège.

Prince Carl Philip presented this year's Victoria Scholarship to cross country skier Charlotte Kalla. Charlotte Kalla was awarded the scholarship for "raising Swedish cross country skiing to an international level through her successes on the ski track and with her engaging and charming manner."

Several performers provided the musical entertainment, including Charlotte Perelli, Peter Jöback, Martin Stenmarck, Lisa Nilsson, Amanda Jenssen, Lilla Akademien, Erik Saade and Görgen Antonsson.

A collection is underway via Radiohjälpen for Crown Princess Victoria's Fund for people with disabilities or chronic illnesses, to mark the birthday celebrations.
