Queen opens Caspar David Friedrich exhibition

On Thursday 1 October, The Queen opened the Caspar David Friedrich exhibition, 'Nature animated', at the National Museum in Stockholm.
The Queen said in her opening speech that “Friedrich is considered to be the most significant artist from the romantic period in Germany. He is even described as the 'founder of the romantic movement' within painting".
